The Family Service Mature Worker Center

24 Second Avenue, San Mateo
(650) 403-4300 extension 4369

Helping mature workers get back in the work force.

Since 1984, The Senior Employment Center has been providing employment services to San Mateo County residents aged 55 and above. This Center, which serves about 500 people a year, trains mature workers and finds positions for them as they return to the workforce.

  • The Job Match-up program places workers, aged 55 and over, into jobs that provide needed income and the opportunity to contribute to the community.
  • The multi-cultural staff provides career counseling and assists job hunters with resume development, interview preparation, appearance and presentation.
  • Eligible job seekers participate in paid on-the-job training in local non-profit and government agencies through the Senior Community Service Employment Program.
